Friedrich Pongratz

Friedrich Alfred Pongratz (born January 28, 1947 in Ansbach ) is a German psychologist and sociologist who works as an entrepreneur.

Life

After graduating from high school, he studied psychology and sociology at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel and at the Free University of Berlin with a diploma .

Pongratz is the founder and manager of six companies with around 250 employees and 15 branches in Berlin. The companies he founded and run as an investor, shareholder-managing director as well as school and institute director are, on the one hand, the Institute for Applied Gerontology gGmbH (IFAG), founded in 1983, with its state-recognized vocational schools for geriatric care, social assistants and the state-recognized Further education institutions of the State of Berlin for nurses for managerial functions and medical professions . In 1992 he founded the non-profit society for the elderly and the handicapped (GFA). In 2000 the Academy for International Education (AFIB) followed with its state-recognized technical colleges for media, social affairs and economics leading to the general technical college entrance qualification, as well as the Leonardo da Vinci flight school . In 2009 he founded 'Friedrich A. Pongratz Immobilien GmbH & Co. KG' and 'Friedrich A. Pongratz Grundstücks GmbH'. In 2010 he bought the former municipal hospital in Berlin-Charlottenburg, which is to be used as a cross-generational education and senior citizens' center.

Friedrich Pongratz is the organizer of educational congresses and congresses on the think tank for the elderly and disabled . Since 1993 he has held the German copyrights for Validation according to Feil ( USA ), a communication and training method for relatives and medical staff in dealing with dementia. Through his operation, this method is now part of the training of medical and nursing staff in Berlin. He is co-founder of the European Validation Association (EVA). Since 1983 he has been providing psychological support to competitive athletes and aerobatic pilots and was the coach of the German national team in precision flying until 2003. He is also a lecturer in the statutory advanced flight instructor and flight captain training as well as an expert for the Federal Aviation Office .

Since 1980, Pongratz has designed and implemented a large number of educational measures in youth and adult education, also for academics, foreign residents and migrants, as well as care models for older people. He was the first to train the first social workers in the CIS countries with the EU and the State of Berlin in 1991/1992 . In 1994/1995 he was an advisor to the government of Belarus in the development of education, health and social services.

From 2001 to 2005 he was chairman of the Federal Association of German Private Schools (VDP), LV Berlin-Brandenburg. He is the author of a textbook on sociology.

In 2007 he acquired the building of the New Apostolic Church in Berlin-Charlottenburg and converted it into the Asanta event center, in which various events such as congresses take place.

Pongratz is married to the actress Miriam Christina Pongratz (née Kretschmann) and has three children.

Awards

In March 2008 Friedrich Pongratz was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon for his services by Federal President Horst Köhler .
