Friedrich Rödler (Manager)

Friedrich Rödler (born June 21, 1950 in Vienna ) is an Austrian manager. From 2002 to 2013 he was Territory Senior Partner (corresponds to the CEO ) of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Austria. He has been Chairman of the Erste Group Supervisory Board since 2012 . In June 2014 he was appointed to the Supervisory Board of ÖIAG .

biography

Rödler studied mathematics, computer science and business administration at the Vienna University of Technology and WU Vienna and joined the international consulting firm Arthur Andersen in 1976 . In 1979 he was appointed a tax advisor and in 1982 also an auditor . In 1990 he became a partner at what was then Price Waterhouse and was made a senior partner in 1996. In 2002 he finally took over the management of the PwC Group in Austria as Territory Senior Partner. He retired at PwC on June 30, 2013 and has been working as an independent public accountant ever since.

Since 2004 he has been a member of the supervisory board of Erste Bank , from 2011 also of Erste Group. In May 2012 he became chairman of the supervisory board.

In 2011 Friedrich Rödler was awarded the title of Professor by the Federal President .

Rödler is Vice President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Austria. Rödler is a member of the tax law expert panel of the Chamber of Public Accountants and Chairman of the Tax Policy Group of the FEE (Federation of European Accountants). From 2012 to 2016 he was a member of the Tax Good Governance Platform convened by the European Commission .

Rödler is married and has two children.
