Friedrich Riesch

Friedrich Riesch (born April 27, 1840 in Fulda , † January 29, 1912 in Frankenberg ) was a German administrative officer and member of the state parliament.

Riesch was the son of Lieutenant Colonel Friedrich Ludwig Riesch. He attended grammar school in Hanau, the higher commercial school in Frankfurt am Main and the polytechnic in Hanover. He joined the Prussian army in 1857 and became second lieutenant on May 21, 1859. He participated as an officer in the German War and as a company commander in the Franco-German War . He was seriously wounded in the Battle of Saint-Quentin and therefore retired from the army as a captain in 1872 .

He was now taken over into the Prussian administrative service. From August 13, 1873 he was employed at the administrative office in Höchst am Main, and from October 20, 1874 there as a provisional police attorney. From 1877 to 1883 he was a bailiff in the office of Nastätten . On March 9, 1883 e was entrusted with the provisional administration of the district of Frankenberg . After he had passed the district examination on February 2, 1885, he was definitely district administrator on February 23, 1885. He remained district administrator in Frankenberg for 29 years until his death.

Politically, Riesch belonged to the Free Conservative Party . For this he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives for the constituency of Kassel 9 (Kirchhain, Frankenberg) until his death in 1888 .
