Friedrich Roselius

Friedrich Roselius (born December 16, 1876 in Bremen , † June 11, 1941 in Berlin - Charlottenburg ) was a German businessman and coffee producer from Bremen.

Life

Roselius was the son of the Bremen merchant and coffee importer Dietrich Friedrich Rennig Roselius (1843–1902). His brother was the entrepreneur and coffee HAG founder Ludwig Roselius (1874–1943), his son the communications scientist and author Ernst Roselius (1904–1941).

Roselius graduated from secondary school. He did his apprenticeship in Hanover at the Grote coffee company. After that, he was with his father's company & Co. Roselius busy. He managed the company's London branch . When the father died unexpectedly in 1902, the brothers Friedrich and Ludwig took over management of the company. Ludwig Roselius left his father's company in 1906 after the establishment of Kaffee HAG , which was continued by Friedrich Roselius. He was on the supervisory boards of various companies. From 1932 to 1941 he was chairman of the supervisory board of Focke-Wulf-Flugzeugbau AG . In 1937 he joined the NSDAP . He was co-founder and from 1931 to 1934 president of the Rotary Club in Bremen .
