Friedrich Seefried
Friedrich Seefried also Friedrich Seefridt (born February 3, 1549 in Ansbach , † 1608 in Nördlingen ) was a German portrait and coat of arms painter , vedutist and cartographer .
Life
Seefried (also Seefridt or Seyfried) lived in Nördlingen . From 1583 he worked for Wilhelm V of Bavaria (colored view of Wemding and the surrounding area). In Kelheim in 1583 he also worked as a draftsman and surveyor and in 1586 for the "correction of the diethfurt border". From 1579 to 1590 he worked on behalf of Philipp Ludwig, Count Palatine and Duke of Pfalz-Neuburg . From 1588 he began mapping the Höchstädt and Neuburg regional courts of the Duchy of Palatinate-Neuburg . This work was continued and completed in the years 1597 to 1605 by Christoph Vogel and Matthäus Stang .
