Friedrich Spengler

Friedrich Spengler (born September 8, 1869 in Gotha , † October 20, 1940 in Meiningen ) was a German trade unionist and politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

Spengler worked as an innkeeper in Gotha from 1899 to 1904. He was involved in trade unions and in 1899 became chairman of the trade union cartel in Gotha. In 1919/20 he worked as a health insurance employee in Salzungen .

politics

Spengler joined the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) during the German Empire . From 1900 to 1904 he was a member of the state parliament in the Duchy of Saxony-Coburg-Gotha and from 1919 until his resignation in 1920 he was a member of the state parliament in the Free State of Saxony-Meiningen .
