Friedrich Verhaben

Friedrich Verhaben (born December 22, 1901 in Schwanewede , Osterholz district ; † July 4, 1993 in Osterholz-Scharmbeck ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

Friedrich Verholen attended elementary school and was then in the First World War for the construction of submarines committed to the service. After the end of the war, he worked at the Bremer Schiffswerft AG Weser , where he was employed as a blacksmith's assistant from 1918 to 1930 . From 1929 to 1933 he was active as a district council representative and community council representative. He was administrator in the Ritterhude nursing home from 1930 to 1933 until he was dismissed by the National Socialists . He then worked as a sales representative. After the end of the Second World War , he became mayor of the Ritterhude community from 1945 and a member of the district assembly in the Osterholz district.

From May 6, 1959 to June 5, 1967 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament (4th and 5th electoral terms).
