Friedrich Vogt (politician, 1921)

Friedrich Vogt (born August 1, 1921 in Detmold ; † October 2, 2009 there ) was a German SPD politician and mayor of Detmold.

Life

Friedrich Vogt was councilor of Pivitsheide V. H. from 1961 and its mayor from 1967 until it was incorporated in Detmold on January 1, 1970. In Pivitsheide V. H. he was also mayor, rector of the preschool and elementary school and chairman of the sports club SuS Pivitsheide . From April 1970 Vogt was Deputy Mayor of Detmold and Councilor, in 1972 he was elected Lord Mayor. From May 4, 1975 he was a member of the district council and from 1977 to 1989 a member of the association assembly of the Lippe regional association . In 1988 Vogt decided not to run for office again and on October 19, 1989 he handed the office over to his successor Friedrich Brakemeier . After disagreements with his party comrades, he withdrew from politics and the public in the same year. He died on October 2, 2009.

During his term of office, the school center Mitte was founded .
