Friedrich Wilhelm Otto (politician)

Friedrich Wilhelm Otto (* 1897 ; † cannot be determined) was a German functionary of the GDR block party LDP / LDPD . He was a member of the Mecklenburg state parliament .

Life

The businessman Otto joined the Liberal Democratic Party of Germany (LDP) in 1945. In the same year he became a city councilor and chairman of the Wismar district leadership of the LDP. From 1947 he was a member of the Society for German-Soviet Friendship and from March 1948 to April 1949 an assessor in the Mecklenburg regional board of the LDP. From August 1952 he worked as deputy chairman and from June 1955 as chairman of the Rostock district committee of the LDPD, in July 1953 he was elected to the LDPD party committee.

From 1950 to 1952 Otto was a member of the Mecklenburg State Parliament, where he has been a member of the Presidium since July 1951 (Second Vice President). From August 1952 to October 1963 Otto was a member of the Rostock District Assembly .

In 1963 Otto gave the funeral oration for the painter and graphic artist Sella Hasse . As a Wismar city councilor, he made a contribution to the work and memory of Sella Hasse in Wismar. As a veteran living in Wismar, he received on April 27, 1967 from the hands of the President of the People's Chamber , Johannes Dieckmann , the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze.
