Friedrich von Beckedorff
Friedrich Ludwig Emil von Beckedorff (born April 2, 1818 in Ballenstedt , † March 31, 1893 in Grünhof , Pomerania ) was a Prussian lieutenant general .
Life
Friedrich von Beckedorff was the son of the Prussian ministerial official Ludolph von Beckedorff .
Beckedorff took part in the fighting during the Schleswig-Holstein uprising in 1848 . From 1862 to 1865 Major von Beckedorff was commander of the Westphalian Jäger Battalion No. 7 , with which he took part in the war against Denmark in 1864 . Under his leadership, the battalion fought in the battle of Missunde , in front of the Düppeler Schanzen and other places. From 1873 to 1874 von Beckedorff was the commander of the 23rd Infantry Brigade, then until 1879 of the 33rd Infantry Brigade. From 1879 to 1881 he commanded the 1st Division .
