Esther Friesner
Esther Mona Friesner-Stutzman , b. Friesner (born July 16, 1951 in the USA ) is an American writer .
Life
Friesner studied Drama and Spanish at Vassar College and then received a PhD in Spanish from Yale University . There she also taught Spanish for a few years and wrote short stories and novels in her free time . Eventually she started writing full-time.
Her first short story, The Stuff of Heroes , was published in 1982 . So far she has published 37 novels and edited several anthologies . The best known is probably the anthology 'Chicks in Chainmail'.
Friesner lives in Connecticut with her husband and two children .
