Fresh up

Fresh on is a Schnellpolka by Johann Strauss Sohn (op. 386). The work was performed for the first time on February 2, 1880 in the Sofienbad Hall in Vienna .

Remarks

The polka was composed for the carnival ball of the journalists and writers' association Concordia and premiered on this occasion under the direction of Eduard Strauss . He also directed the next performance on February 15, 1880 in the concert hall of the Wiener Musikverein . The polka was later forgotten and was rarely performed, if at all. It is one of the least known compositions by Johann Strauss.
