Frischeparadies is a special market and supplier for groceries . Originally specialized in supplying upscale restaurants , the Frischeparadies stores have gradually opened up to the end consumer .

history

The origin of today's group is Edelfisch GmbH in Frankfurt, which has belonged to the Oetker Group since 1987 . Its managing director initiated the development in 1994 by expanding the Edelfisch GmbH offer from pure fish specialties to a complete gastronomic range . The aim was to relieve customers of their scheduling and at the same time to counteract their own dependence on just one segment of the food industry.

After the implementation of the concept, six more companies were integrated into the group in the following years, and in 2008 the first foreign branch was founded in Vienna . In 2015 the Frischeparadies Group was sold by Oetker to Transgourmet Holding , a subsidiary of the Swiss Coop .

Business activity

The Frischeparadies group handles 7,200 tons of food annually and has around 5,000 different products on offer. Several of the chain's markets also have their own bistro . The group has ten locations in the cities of Berlin, Essen, Hamburg, Hürth near Cologne, Frankfurt, Fürth, Munich, Stuttgart and Leipzig. There is also a branch in Palma de Mallorca, but this only supplies the catering trade and is not a pick-up market for end consumers.

In addition to the pick-up markets, all Frischeparadies stores also operate a delivery service for restaurants and retailers.
