Frits Landesbergen senior

Frits Landesbergen senior (* 1932 ) is a Dutch jazz musician and big band leader.

Landesbergen, whose nephew of the same name also plays the vibraphone, has been leading his own big band in the Leiden region since 1969. With his 18-member big band he played in jazz clubs, dance schools and student associations, but also at the Vienna Ball in Noordwijk and Oxford . The orchestra recorded the albums Big Band Treasures and The Old Fashioned Way (2012) for the STS label . In 2014 the orchestra played at the National Dance Competition in the Congresgebouw of The Hague. The anniversary concert for the 50th anniversary of the band took place in 2019 at the American School in Wassenaar.
