Fritz Albert Schmidtke

Fritz Albert Schmidtke (born February 22, 1885 in Königsberg i. Pr. , † March 15, 1975 in Braunschweig ) was a German lithographer and graphic artist.

Training as a lithographer, then attending the Königsberg Art Academy (lessons with Ludwig Dettmann ). From 1906 worked as a lithographer, draftsman and graphic artist at "Graphische Kunstanstalten" in Berlin and Leipzig. 1909 relocation to Braunschweig. There until 1945 freelance worker and employee of graphic art institutions and publishing houses and since 1945 freelance work as a commercial artist. His artistic work consists mainly of drawings, prints and watercolors. Exhibition of his works in the Städtisches Museum Braunschweig 1997 and in the German-Russian House Kaliningrad 2011.
