Fritz Amsler

Fritz Amsler (* 1896 in Switzerland ; † 1954 ) was a Swiss writer and poet .

Life

Fritz Amsler was born in Switzerland in 1896. In addition to his professional activity as a chief forester in the Langenthal forest district in the canton of Bern , he was also active as a writer and non-fiction author. Amsler's first publications were subject-related. In 1940 and 1941 the Swiss Forestry Association published the specialist volumes How should spruce bark be obtained for tannery purposes? and The charring of wood in Meileröfen: A practical guide by André Bourquin and Fritz Amsler, In 1942 the St. Gallen Commercial College published the title The importance of reinsurance for the Swiss economy in the series Diploma thesis 1942.

In 1947 Amsler's first literary work, the poetry volume with the title Gedichte, was published by Francke Verlag in Bern . In 1951 his fairy tale was published in 11 pictures Snow White with dance and songs by Hans Vogt near Sauerländer in Aarau . In 1953, the literary-dramatic society in Langenthal published the play Das Vermächtnis: a chamber play . Various poems by Amsler have also appeared in yearbooks, anthologies and magazines, for example in the Edition Lyriker der deutschen Schweiz 1850-1950 published by Heinz Helmerking or in the collection of German literary magazines, 1945-1970: a repertory, volume 2 , published by Bernhard Fischer and Thomas Dietzel.

Fritz Amsler died unexpectedly in 1954 at the age of 58.
