Fritz Böhme (sculptor)
Fritz Böhme (born February 21, 1948 in Glauchau ; † September 24, 2013 in Hohndorf ) was a German sculptor .
Career
Böhme grew up in Glauchau. After training as a stonemason and stone sculptor , he continued his education as a sculptor from 1967.
From 1975 to 1990 he was a member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR and has been a freelance artist since 1976. In 1987 he received the Max Pechstein Prize and in 1996 the Ernst Rietschel Art Prize .
Fritz Böhme lived in Hohndorf near Zschopau.
