Fritz Bahrdt

Fritz Bahrdt (born July 17, 1939 in Hamburg ) is a German handball player .

Bahrdt came to Hamburger SV in 1957 . The right-handed handball player was placed in the middle or half-left position.

On January 5, 1958, Bahrdt was in the line-up of the German B national team in Oldenburg against Sweden (14:14). He was a member of the German national handball team a total of 54 times . He played at the Handball World Championship (WM) in 1964 (4th place) and the World Cup in 1967 (5th place).

Bahrdt was a member of the HSV Hamburg supervisory board until his resignation in 2014 and has been deputy president since 2004.

He has two sons: Christian Bahrdt (* 1968) and Matthias Bahrdt (* 1971). The younger son is a songwriter and pianist; he created the club anthem of the HSV.
