Fritz Becker (fencer)

Fritz Becker (* before 1928, † after 1951) was a German foil fencer who fought at the fencing club Hermannia Frankfurt . He was four times German team champion and took part in the first World Championships in Paris in 1937 .

Becker reached the final round of the German individual foil championships several times , his best placing was a fifth place in the championships of 1937 . With the team of FC Hermannia Frankfurt he won the foil team championships in 1928 , 1930, 1937 and 1938 .

In 1937 Becker took part in the World Championships in Paris. In the individual, he was eliminated in the second round, with the team (in addition to Becker, Richard Liebscher , Siegfried Lerdon , Julius Eisenecker , August Heim and Erwin Casmir ) he took fourth place, but was only used twice and could not win any of his battles. In the individual he was eliminated in the intermediate round.

With the team of FC Hermannia Frankfurt he was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf on December 7, 1951 .
