At the German Fencing Championships in 1928 , competitions were held in men's florets, men's rapiers and men's sabers, while there was only one competition in foil for women. The individual championships took place from April 20th to 22nd in Bad Eilsen , the team championships from September 27th to 30th in Nuremberg . The championships were organized by the German Fencing Association . The fencing masters of the German Gymnastics Association were determined independently of the championships of the Fencing Federation at the German Gymnastics Festival in Cologne.
