The German fencing championships in 1920 took place in Frankfurt am Main . It was the first German fencing championships after the First World War . In the individual championships , competitions were held in men's florets, men's rapiers and men's sabers, and team competitions were held in men's rapiers and men's sabers. Women's competitions weren't introduced until 1923. The championships were organized by the German Fencing Association .
