At the German Fencing Championships 2009 , individual and team competitions in fencing were held one after the other at the Olympic base in Tauberbischofsheim . They were organized by the German Fencing Association .

Ralf Bißdorf won in the men's floret , in epee fencing, last year's champion Sven Schmid and runner-up Jörg Fiedler swapped places and in the saber, Nicolas Limbach defeated last year's winner Johannes Klebes . In the women's category, Katja Wächter was able to refer last year's winner Anja Schache to second place. Beate Christmann and Alexandra Bujdosó defended their titles in the sword and foil . For Alexandra Bujdoso and Nicolas Limbach it was each the third title among the active players.

The German SAMSUNG Championships 2009 took place from January 10th to 11th, 2009 in Tauberbischofsheim . The individual competitions were fought on January 10th, the team competitions on January 11th.
