Alexandra Bujdosó (born March 5, 1990 in Budapest , Hungary ) is a German saber fencer and German champion .

Life

Alexandra Bujdosó has been fighting since 1995. The Koblenz native is trained by her father Imre Bujdosó . She had her first major international appearance in 2005 at the Junior World Championships in Linz , where she was 23rd. Bujdosó took in 2006 for the first time at the World Championships in Turin in part, finishing in both the individual and with the team to eighth place. At the European Championships in Izmir she was sixth with the team and also eighth in the individual. She ended the Junior World Championships by winning the silver medal. A year later Bujdosó reached 39th place in the individual at the World Championships in St. Petersburg , at the European Championships in Ghent she reached eighth place with the team and 38th in the individual. At the Junior World Championships she won bronze in 2008 after she had to admit defeat in the semifinals to the eventual winner Olha Charlan . The best result at a Grand Prix so far is third place in 2007 in Tianjian .

Bujdosó was first in the German saber fencing ranking in 2005/06, 2007/08 and 2008/09. At the national level, she won the bronze medal at the individual championships in 2005 . In 2006 she won the individual title for the first time and was also second on the team with her club Königsbacher SC Koblenz . In 2007 , the student at the elite school in Koblenz won bronze both individually and with the team. In 2008 she reached fourth place with the team, but won the individual title again and qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games . There, however, after a sovereign victory over the Canadian Julie Cloutier in the first round in round two against the Chinese Tan Xue , she was eliminated with almost no chance. In addition, she won her fourth title at the German Junior Championships in 2008 after 2004 (B-Youth), 2005 (A-Youth) and 2007. Only in 2006 she had to be content with third place. In 2009 and 2011 she again won the German championships in singles. In 2012 at the 2012 Olympic Games in London , Bujdosó was eliminated in the first round against Səbinina Mikina with 13:15 and finished in 20th place.

She is a sports soldier (rank of sergeant major ) in the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr in Mainz.
