At the German Fencing Championships in 2006 , individual and team competitions were held in the disciplines of epee, foil and saber. They were organized by the German Fencing Association . Since there was no individual battle for third place, the two semi-finalists shared them. The championships in all three weapons took place at the fencing club in Tauberbischofsheim .

In the women’s category, Anja Schache won the foil title and Imke Duplitzer won the epee. Alexandra Bujdosó won her first saber title. Peter Joppich won in the men's floret . Martin Schmitt prevailed in the sword . Nicolas Limbach won in the saber for the first time .
