Christoph Kneip (born January 7, 1980 ) is a German sword fencer . The right-hander fights in the fencing department of Bayer 04 Leverkusen . Since 2005 he has been a member of the federal squad of the German Fencing Association without interruption . He won two medals at European championships and is a three-time German champion .

successes

With the men's national sword team, Kneip finished second at the World Championships in Havana in 2003 and third at the European Championships in Leipzig in 2010 . In total, he took part in five world championships (four of them both individually and in a team and one only with the team), as well as in four European championships (each individual and team). In the individual, his best result at an international championship was a 12th place at the European Championships 2012 in Legnano.

He won a total of three World Cup tournaments and was German individual champion twice ( 2011 and 2013 ). With Bayer Leverkusen he was also German team champion in 2009 .
