At the German Fencing Championships in 1937 , competitions were held in men's florets, men's rapiers and men's sabers, while there was only one competition in foil for women. The individual championships took place in Hamburg , the team championships in Stuttgart . For the first time there was also a women's floret team championship. The championships were organized by the German Fencing Association . The German fencing championships did not take place the year before.
