Stefan Rosenbauer
Stefan Rosenbauer (born March 24, 1896 in Biberach an der Riss ; † August 18, 1967 in Rio de Janeiro ) was a German fencer and photographer who became German champion and won an Olympic bronze medal with the foil team in 1936.
Life
The fencer from the Fecht Club Hermannia Frankfurt won the German championship with the sword in 1931 and 1932 , and in 1933 he won with the foil. At the unofficial World Cup in Warsaw in 1934 , Erwin Casmir , Julius Eisenecker , August Heim and Stefan Rosenbauer received bronze in the team classification with the foil behind the teams from Italy and France. At the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin , the German foil team with Otto Adam, Erwin Casmir, Julius Eisenecker, August Heim, Siegfried Lerdon and Stefan Rosenbauer won the bronze medal; the team from Italy won the final round before France.
