Here Rossner surprisingly had to replace his teammate Willy Fascher, Julius Eisenecker , Norman Casmir and Kurt Wahl were also in the team .

In 1954 Rossner was German champion in saber singles, in 1952 he already took second place. Also in 1952 he was German team champion in saber fencing with TK Hannover. TK Hannover also won in 1951 , but the exact team line-up is not known. As a member of the fencing department of the TK Hanover, he was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf in 1956 .

Professionally, Rossner was a hotelier and owner of the “Damköhler” hotel in Bad Pyrmont , in whose building in 2012 the city savings bank was located.
