Wolfgang Neuhausen

Wolfgang Neuhausen , alias "Nemo" (born April 7, 1949 in Düsseldorf ), is a German pantomime , actor, director and author.

Life

Neuhausen graduated from Görres-Gymnasium in Düsseldorf and studied philosophy and Latin at the University of Cologne .

Neuhausen appears worldwide under the artist name Nemo and has had guest appearances in 36 countries and over 100 television shows. He plays pantomimes, mime comedy, clown scenes, meditations, performs pantomime tours and improvisation programs with musicians, orchestras, writers and performers of all kinds. Since 2007 he has also been active in the Düsseldorf meeting carnival .

In April 2008 Neuhausen founded the Clownsschool for Live (CSFL) in Mpumalanga (South Africa) , a social project that aims to create career prospects for young people in the townships.

Honors (selection)

In 1978 he received the sponsorship award of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia for young artists . In 2006 he received the SPD award for citizen engagement in the category “Initiatives that promote the voluntary engagement of migrants in Düsseldorf ” for his honorary commitment . Neuhausen is appointed cultural ambassador for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia . In 2013 he appeared for the third time at the Ethos Ankara Uluslararası Tiyatro Festivali with Yaşar Nezih Eyüboğlu and won the festival award with him for the second time. In 2015 he won the Festival Award at the Golden Lynxx Festival in Banja Luka .
