Julie Cloutier

Julie Cloutier (born April 24, 1986 in Montreal ) is a Canadian saber fencer .

Life

At the age of eleven she started fencing in Repentigny . She has been a member of the Canadian national team since 2005. Cloutier is studying cultural research at the University of Québec . She took part in the 2008 Olympic Games individually and as a team . With the team she was seventh in saber fencing.

Successes (selection)

  • In 2006 she reached the silver medal with the team at the Pan American Games in Venezuela.
  • In 2005 she won bronze at the World Cup in Havana , Cuba.
  • In 2004 she was second at the Canadian Championships in Laval .
