Fritz Bergerhoff

Fritz Bergerhoff (born September 14, 1896 in Aachen , † December 5, 1956 in Lindlar ) was a German politician of the NSDAP .

Life

Bergerhoff first attended the Kaiser-Wilhelms-Gymnasium in Aachen and graduated from the Realgymnasium in 1911 with secondary school leaving certificate . From 1912 to 1913 he studied at the higher agricultural school in Bitburg . From 1914 to 1915 he served in World War I and was deployed on the Somme and Langemark . After being wounded twice, he was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd class . He then worked as a businessman.

Bergerhoff joined the NSDAP on February 1, 1932 ( membership number 898.646) and became district leader of Monschau. On May 12, 1934, he was appointed mayor of Lindlar, an office he held until the end of the Nazi regime and which is why he was placed in the UK during World War II . On December 19, 1934, he was warned by the Party Supreme Court .

Bergerhoff was a member of the Reich Association of German Civil Servants , the National Socialist People's Welfare , the German Red Cross and the Reich Colonial Association .

After the Second World War, Bergerhoff was interned and initially classified as a minor offender in the denazification process . In 1948 he was downgraded as a follower in an appeal hearing, but was subject to an asset freeze.
