Fritz Bruehl

Fritz Brühl (born March 23, 1909 in Frankfurt am Main ; † August 29, 1982 in Cologne ) was a German journalist and economist .

Brühl studied economics and history from 1928 to 1932 . From 1933 to 1945 he was an editor a. a. at Hannoverscher Kurier , Hannoverscher Anzeiger and the Kölnische Zeitung . After the Second World War, he held the post of mayor of Bad Hersfeld from 1946 to 1948 . Brühl switched back to journalism and worked for Die Neue Zeitung from 1948 to 1949 and for the Süddeutsche Zeitung from 1950 to 1955 . From 1951 to 1952 Brühl was the head of the federal press conference . In addition, from 1951 he was a commentator for Hessischer Rundfunk and until 1955 and a discussion leader for NWDR television . From 1955 he became head of the main politics department at WDR and from 1960 until his retirement in 1974 he was radio director.
