Fritz Hansen (Author)

Fritz Hansen (born February 1, 1870 in Berlin ; † January 20, 1943 there ) was an early German author on the subject of photography and its copyright .

Life

Hansen was secretary of the " Photographisches Verein zu Berlin " until 1907 , of which he became a member in 1898 with the professional title "Writer". In the magazine "Photographische Chronik" as an organ of the Photographic Association, he commented on the introduction of the new legal protection law with numerous articles. He also held the office of secretary in the “Central Association of German Photographers Associations”. He switched to the “Legal Protection Association of German Photographers e. V. ”, after the new legal protection law came into force in January 1907 and became its syndic . He was editor of the Chamber of Crafts News for the photography trade and author of numerous articles.

Hansen, who published numerous specialist publications on the copyright of photography, also wrote Chronica der Camera obscura (1933), a “little novel about a great invention”, the camera obscura . His works were well known in the photography scene at the time.
