Fritz Hesse (politician, 1903)

Fritz Hesse (born May 30, 1903 in Triebes ; † January 3, 1971 Wolfsburg ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

Hesse attended elementary school and then advanced training school. He was a member of IG Metall since 1921 and a member of the SPD since 1923. From 1930 to 1931 he lived as an emigrant in Canada. From 1939 he was employed as a fitter and social worker at the Volkswagen factory. From 1942 to 1945 he did military service as a private in an infantry and tank division in Holland, France, Italy and Russia. After the war he was a works council for several years. He was the author of the Wolfsburg homeland book discovery trips in the new home , co-founder of the local history museum, the cultural ring and the tourist association as well as vice president of the Kneipp association.

politics

From 1947 he was politically active as councilor of the city of Wolfsburg and from 1952 to 1954 he was deputy mayor. He was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament for the 3rd to 5th electoral period from May 6, 1955 to June 5, 1967.
