Fritz Presl (born February 7, 1945 in Bayreuth , actually Friedrich Georg Presl ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and former referee of the ice hockey Bundesliga .

Life and work

After obtaining the technical college entrance qualification in 1961, Presl went through the training to the higher service . From 1968 to 1972 he attended the Administration and Business Academy of Rhineland-Palatinate. From 1968 to 2001 he worked for the city administration of Zweibrücken , among other things as head of the tourism, sport and culture department. Presl is married and has two children.

In 1970 Presl joined the SPD. From 2004 to 2011 he was chairman of the SPD Zweibrücken . Since 2004 he has been a member of the city ​​council , in which he was also chairman of the SPD parliamentary group from 2007 to 2011. From 2001 to 2016 he was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament , in which he always represented constituency 46 ( Zweibrücken ) as a directly elected member.

Social Commitment

Presl was active as an ice hockey referee for 15 years, including six years in the national ice hockey league. He then worked as a functionary, among other things, as a referee observer at the German Ice Hockey Federation and in the German Ice Hockey League as well as the Rhineland-Palatinate Ice and Roller Sports Association and the Palatinate Sports Association. Until 1981 he was an arbitrator in Zweibrücken. From 1997 to 2002 he was project manager of the German-French music festival Euroklassik.
