Fritz Savioli

Fritz Savioli (born May 26, 1905 in Mettlach ; † October 13, 1994 in Merzig ) was a German or Saarland politician of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) and the Social Democratic Party of Saarland (SPS).

After attending primary school in Mettlach, Savioli worked in both mining and the trade union from 1919 . In 1935 he switched to road construction and also worked as a trade unionist. From 1940 to 1945 he took part in the Second World War. Then returned to the mining industry, where he then worked in administration.

After he had been a member of the SPD since 1929, Savioli joined the SPS in 1946. From 1946 to 1949 he was parliamentary group leader of his party in the council of the municipality of Ensdorf (Saar) and from 1948 1st alderman. From 1950 until the dissolution of the party on March 18, 1956, he was deputy chairman of the Merzig sub-district of the SPS. In 1953 he participated in the re-establishment of the local branch of the SPS in Merzig- Reimsbach .

In the state elections in 1952 , Savioli was elected to the Saarland state parliament. There he was active in the committees for culture, reconstruction and economics. After the new election in 1955 , he left parliament.
