Reimsbach is a part of the municipality of Beckingen in the Merzig-Wadern district ( Saarland ). Reimsbach was an independent municipality until the end of 1973.

history

The first written mention of the place under the name "Rumestat" comes from the year 950.

As part of the regional and administrative reform in Saarland , the previously independent municipality of Reimsbach was assigned to the then newly formed municipality of Beckingen on January 1, 1974 and has been a district and a municipality since then.
