Bringing is a district of the municipality of Beckingen in the Merzig-Wadern district ( Saarland ). Until the end of 1973, Erhaben was an independent municipality.

Bringing was first mentioned in a document in 1098.

As part of the regional and administrative reform in Saarland , the previously independent municipality of Erhaben was assigned to the then newly formed municipality of Beckingen on January 1, 1974 and has been a district and a municipality since then.
