Fritz Scheuermann (lawyer)
Fritz Scheuermann (born June 8, 1887 in Strasbourg ; † unknown) was a German lawyer and the first president of the Reichsfilmkammer at the time of National Socialism .
Life
Scheuermann, whose father was a secret government advice, studied after completing his schooling law . He then received his doctorate as Dr. Jur. From 1924 was Scheuermann as Councilor in the Ministry of Transportation operates and from 1925 as a lawyer.
After the seizure of power by the Nazis Scheuermann was from June 1933 the Supervisory Board of Filmkreditbank ago, pre-financed the films. In November 1933, Scheuermann was appointed the first President of the newly created Reichsfilmkammer by Joseph Goebbels . In this function, Scheuermann was also the founder of the Reichsfilmarchiv , which was established at the end of January 1934 and which was incorporated into the Reichsfilmkammer.
Scheuermann resigned from his position as President of the Reichsfilmkammer in mid-October 1935 after he had been denounced as a so-called non - Aryan , legal advisor for Jews and as a Freemason . His successor as President of the Reichsfilmkammer was on October 18, 1935 at Goebbels Oswald Lehnich .
