Fritz Schilling (politician)

Fritz Schilling (born February 17, 1896 in Lübbecke ; † December 9, 1970 ) was a German politician and member of the state parliament ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending primary school , he completed an apprenticeship as a cigar sorter . He then worked as a cigar maker. In 1913 Schilling became a member of the Food-Enjoyment-Restaurants Union . Later he was employed as a foreman.

Schilling had been a member of the SPD since 1925. From 1947 he was chairman of the SPD sub-district Lübbecke. He also held other functions in the SPD. He was also a member of the board of the Kreissparkasse Lübbecke.

MP

From July 5, 1950 to July 4, 1954, Schilling was a member of the second elected state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was directly elected in constituency 144 Lübbecke .

Schilling was a member of the Lübbeck city council from 1930 to 1933. In 1952 he was elected to the district council of the Lübbecke district.

Others

In October 1965 Schilling was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class.
