Fritz Schröter (politician)

Fritz Schröter (born November 5, 1953 in Windischleuba ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the Thuringian state parliament from 1990 to 2014 .

Career

After graduating from high school in 1972, Schröter completed an engineering degree in construction by 1976. He then worked as a site manager until 1981. From 1981 to 1990 he worked in the traffic department in the council of the Schmölln district . He has been running his own engineering office in Altenburg since 1995 .

Since the state elections in Thuringia in 1990 , Schröter has been a member of the Thuringian state parliament for five electoral terms and in 2006 became the parliamentary director of the CDU parliamentary group. He always moved into the state parliament as a directly elected member from the Altenburger Land I constituency . He did not run for the 2014 state election .

From 2004 to 2014 he was also chairman of the district council in the Altenburger Land district .
