From A to ZZZZ is an American animated short film directed by Chuck Jones in 1954.
action
While the school class is busy calculating, little Ralph Phillips is dreaming in the back row of the bench. He imagines flying through the air like a bird, but is approached by a pigeon who turns out to be his teacher and tells him not to daydream. Since Ralph pretends to have been awake the whole time, he is asked to the blackboard where he should add up the numbers. He dreams of being on the blackboard, where the numbers laugh at him. When he pulls the addition line away from them, all the numbers fall on top of each other, attack him and are defeated by Ralph.
The teacher realizes that Ralph needs a break and sends him a letter to the nearest mailbox. In Ralph's fantasy, the short distance turns into an exciting ride through the Wild West , on which he comes to a fort pursued by Indians , gives up the letter, is shot at on the way back and therefore comes back to the classroom "seriously wounded" and theatrically in front of the teacher "Collapses". In the geography lesson that follows, Ralph soon gets bored and dreams of an intrepid diver in the sea, where he not only kills a dangerous giant fish, but also lifts a sunken US Navy submarine with muscle power alone. The octopus arm that pulls him away is in turn the teacher who puts him in the corner as punishment for his reverie. Ralph, in turn, thinks he is a boxer who can easily defeat a much larger opponent. The break bell sounds - in a boxing match as in school. Ralph is allowed to go and now, as Douglas MacArthur , announces that he will be back.
