history

The Socialist Forces Front was founded in Tizi Ouzou on September 29, 1963 to oppose the government of Ahmed Ben Bella . Following the founding of the party, a large number of cities in Kabylia pledged their support. The Ben Bella government, supported by the Armée de Liberation nationale , quickly took control of the rebellious cities in a sometimes bloody confrontation. She avoided direct conflict and withdrew her fighters to the mountains. From there they waged a guerrilla fight. The party boycotted the parliamentary elections in 2002 and 2007 . The 2009 presidential election was also boycotted.
