Froschkern is a district of the municipality of Anzing in the district of Ebersberg in Bavaria , administrative district of Upper Bavaria. The place name is probably derived from the local family name Froscholfer and probably means when a frogolf turns . "Vroschkerin" was mentioned for the first time in the 15th century, and in 1439 the name "Froschkern" was first mentioned.

Froschkern lies west of Anzing, on the eastern flank of the Neufarner mountain . Which runs north A94 , south leading county road EBE 5 (formerly Federal Road 12 ) and Munich road over the mountain and connects Neufarner Anzing with the municipality of Vaterstetten belonging Neufarn .

The place consists of a few houses, including the Kameter, a farm from 1554 and a small pension. At the northern entrance to the village there is a small chapel, built in 1891. It is a monument . There is a wayside cross in the center of the village. In 2011, Froschkern was declared part of the village area and is therefore no longer considered an outdoor area.
