Frucade bottle (Austria)

Frucade has been the registered brand name of a range of non-alcoholic soft drinks since 1952. The owner is DrinkStar GmbH, a subsidiary of Symrise , in Rosenheim (Germany).

DrinkStar became known for its orange lemonade ("Frucade"), which is still the classic in the range thanks to the unchanged bottle design, the consistent recipe and taste. With the Frucade brand, the company is also a sponsor of the Starbulls Rosenheim ice hockey club ; At times the stadium of the ice hockey team was also called Frucade Stadium , but it has now been renamed. Frucade is mainly produced and sold in southern Germany and Austria.

history

In 1947, Adalbert Conrads and Karl Grün founded the company "Fruco", which specialized in the trade and repair of beverage filling systems and began in 1952 to manufacture raw materials and essences for soft drinks. In 1953 the "Frucade orange fruit juice lemonade" came onto the market, as the only one with 10% fruit juice .

The original Frucade shaped bottle was characteristic of Frucade. In the meantime, it has been replaced in Germany by the standardized 0.5 l NRW white glass bottle for technical reasons . In Austria, however, the Frucade shaped bottle is still in use today.

The Frucade brand was only registered with the patent office with international protection in 1956.

The range has developed differently over time in Austria and Germany. In Austria, the original "Frucade orange fruit juice lemonade" is still on the market.

The advertising slogan in Austria was: “So much fruit cannot be grasped.” In Germany it was “Frucade. The local lemonade. "
