Fu Chengyu

Fu Chengyu ( Chinese  傅成玉 , Pinyin Fù Chéngyù ; * 1951 ) is a Chinese manager .

Fu Chengyu studied engineering at the Northeast Petroleum Institute in Daqing and then at the University of Southern California . After completing his studies, he worked for the Chinese company China National Offshore Oil (CNOOC) for many years from 1982 and became its CEO . On April 8, 2012, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) announced that Fu Chengyu, who was also party secretary at CNOOC, had been appointed party secretary and chairman of Sinopec by the CCP Human Resources Department. Fu Chengyu has been chairman of the Chinese company Sinopec since April 2011, succeeding Su Shulin .
