Fu Hu ( Chinese  福 虎 , "Happy Tiger") is a giant panda ( Ailuropoda melanoleuca ) who was born on August 23, 2010 in the Schönbrunn Zoo in Vienna . After his brother Fu Long, he is the second panda in Europe to be naturally conceived in captivity.

He is a cub of the Schönbrunn pandas Yang Yang and Long Hui and thus the younger brother of Fu Long, who was born in 2007. On December 13th, he was officially baptized with this name in the presence of his godfather, the Austrian Minister of Economics Reinhold Mitterlehner , and the Chinese ambassador Shi Mingde , after he had previously voted against Wei Xing (“joy Vienna ”) and Ao Kang in an internet vote ("Healthy Austrian boy") had prevailed. In November 2012, Fu Hu had to leave Schönbrunn and be transferred to the panda research station Bifengxia in China.
