Adaptations

The original by Daniel P. Mannix was filmed for the first time as an animated film (German title: Cap und Capper ) by the Walt Disney Studios . Cap and Capper were voiced by Mickey Rooney and Kurt Russell in this version . Production began as early as 1977, but was delayed as illustrators moved from the Disney team. The film consists of around 360,000 drawings, 110,000 slides and 1,100 background images. In 2006 the sequel Cap and Capper 2 appeared , which was produced directly for the video and DVD market. This takes place in the childhood of the two main characters. In both films, however, the protagonists are not enemies but rather best friends, and the films are about their complicated friendship.
