Fujieda Shizuo
Fujieda Shizuo ( Japanese 藤枝 静 男 , real name: Katsumi Jirō , 勝 見 次郎 ; * December 20, 1907 in Shizuoka in Fujieda ; † April 16, 1993 ) was a Japanese writer and doctor. He was an important representative of the Japanese first-person novel ( Shishōsetsu ) and influenced by Shiga Naoya .
Life
Fujieda attended the eighth high school in Nagoya and graduated from the medical faculty of Chiba University . After graduating in 1936, he first worked as a doctor in hospitals and in 1950 he set up as an ophthalmologist in Hamamatsu . During this time he wrote novels that were influenced by Shiga Naoya and Takii Tōsaku .
In 2007 a literature museum was opened in Fujieda in his and Ogawa Kunio's honor.
