Fukunaga Takehiko
Fukunaga Takehiko ( Japanese 福永 武 彦 ; born March 19, 1918 in Fukuoka Prefecture ; † August 13, 1979 ) was a Japanese novelist, poet and translator.
Fukunaga studied French literature and acted as a translator of the works of Jean-Paul Sartre and Charles Baudelaire ( Les fleurs du mal , Le Spleen de Paris ) and author of a work on the painter Paul Gauguin ( Gōgyan no sekai ).
With novels such as Fūdo ("Heimaterde", 1951), Bōkyaku no kawa ("The River of Lost Memory", 1964), Shi no shima ("Island of Death", 1969-71) he became one of the most famous Japanese novelists of the 1950s - and 1960s. He also published detective novels under the pseudonym Kada Retarō ( 加 田 伶 太郎 ) and science fiction novels as Funada Gaku ( 船 田 学 ).
Fukunaga spent large parts of his life. a. suffered from tuberculosis, in sanatoriums. He and the poet Harajō Akiko are the parents of the writer Ikezawa Natsuki , who in turn is the father of the voice actress Ikezawa Haruna . The novel Des Grases Blumen was published in 2012 in a German translation by the author, little known in the West .
